EU Engagement Undergraduate Scholarships in UK
The prospect of studying in the UK is a cherished dream for many students, but financial barriers often hinder their aspirations.
To alleviate this challenge, the University of Strathclyde is introducing the EU Engagement Undergraduate Scholarships for the academic session 2024/2025.
These scholarships are designed to support EU applicants who, due to Brexit, would now be categorized as eligible for International fee status, even though they would have previously qualified for Home (Scottish/EU) fee status.
Established in 1796 as the Andersonian Institute in Glasgow, Scotland, the University of Strathclyde holds the distinction of being the second-oldest university in the country.

Eligibility
- Eligible Countries: EU nationals and their dependent family members who are resident in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the UK at the time of application
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: All undergraduate courses offered by the university
- Admissible Criteria: Applicants must be EU nationals previously eligible for Home (Scottish/EU) fee status but now classified as International fee status due to Brexit. Self-funding students entering full-time undergraduate programs in 2024.
How to Apply
- Applicants’ eligibility will be automatically assessed upon application for study, eliminating the need for a separate scholarship application.
Benefits
- £5,000 per year for Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences courses
- £5,000 per year for Strathclyde Business School courses
- £8,000 per year for Faculty of Engineering courses
- £6,000 – £8,000 per year for Faculty of Science courses
