Over the weekend, actor Jonathan Majors and actress Meagan Good stepped onto the red carpet as a couple for the first time, attending the African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Special Achievement Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles.
The duo, who began dating in May 2023, beamed as they posed for photos at the event held in support of filmmaker Deon Taylor’s honor.
Majors, 34, opted for a stylish ensemble, featuring a blue button-down shirt under a navy sweater, a full-length grey coat, black pants, and a black beret.
On the other hand, Good, 42, radiated in a pale yellow off-the-shoulder cut-out dress, showcasing her toned physique, complemented by her striking red and brown locks flowing over her shoulders.
This public appearance marked not only the couple’s debut on the red carpet but also Jonathan Majors’ first public event since he was found guilty of misdemeanor third-degree assault and second-degree harassment in December.
The charges stemmed from a March 2023 incident in New York City, where Majors was accused of physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, during an argument in a car.
In a subsequent interview with ABC News’ Linsey Davis, Majors vehemently denied the accusations, asserting, “My hands have never struck a woman—ever.”
He expressed uncertainty about the origin of Jabbari’s injuries, maintaining his innocence throughout the conversation. Majors also praised Meagan Good for her unwavering support during the trial, referring to her as an “angel” and expressing gratitude for her steadfastness.
Despite their relationship being relatively new, Majors acknowledged, “I think I found her.” However, the legal repercussions were swift, leading to Majors being dropped by Disney and Marvel Studios, where he portrayed the character Kang the Conqueror.
Additionally, he parted ways with the role of Dennis Rodman in ’48 Hours in Vegas.’ The actor is now set to face sentencing in April, marking a challenging period in both his personal and professional life.”
