Valentine’s Day Clash: Drew Eubanks Reveals Bloody Gums and Loose Teeth from Isaiah Stewart Fight

In a post-Valentine’s Day incident at the Footprint Center, Drew Eubanks disclosed to Phoenix police that a confrontation with Detroit Pistons player Isaiah Stewart left him with bloody gums and teeth feeling noticeably looser.

The incident report, obtained by authorities, details Eubanks’ account of the altercation that occurred just before the Pistons faced the Suns on February 14.

According to the report, Stewart confronted Eubanks as he was entering the arena, citing previous on-court interactions from a game three months prior.

Eubanks recounted to the police, stating, “He got off the bus and he started, um, just talking s***. He said something along the lines of, ‘You wanna run it back? We’re right here. We can do it right now.'”

Attempting to distance himself, Eubanks claimed he tried to walk away, but Stewart persisted, leading to a face-to-face confrontation inside the arena tunnel.

Eubanks reported that Stewart threw a “sucker punch” at him, landing in the center of his mouth, causing bleeding gums and dental discomfort.

When asked about the reason behind Stewart’s aggression, Eubanks attributed it to typical basketball interactions, such as physical play, attempts to box out, and on-court chatter. Initially, Eubanks expressed a desire to press charges, resulting in Stewart receiving a citation.

However, a turn of events occurred on February 17, when Eubanks contacted the police, stating he no longer wished to pursue charges. On February 19, he informed authorities that upon reflection, he was upset at the time of the incident but had since reconsidered.

Meanwhile, Stewart served a three-game suspension imposed by the NBA and issued an apology to his team during a media meeting upon his return.

In the aftermath, Eubanks has continued to play, logging between six and 25 minutes per game since the altercation.”
