A Missouri teenager, identified as Kaylee, is grappling with severe brain damage after her head was forcefully slammed into the ground during a recent altercation.
The 15-year-old is currently in critical condition, fighting for her life in a hospital. Her family has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to raise $120,000, aiming to alleviate the substantial medical expenses incurred due to the incident.
The harrowing brawl resulted in Kaylee experiencing significant brain bleeding and swelling, accompanied by a skull fracture and damage to her frontal lobe.
The extent of her injuries suggests a challenging road to recovery, with her family indicating that she may not be conscious.
During the altercation, Kaylee was observed alone and convulsing on the ground while the scuffle continued around her, involving multiple teenagers throwing punches.
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) eventually arrived at the scene and promptly transported Kaylee to a local hospital in St. Louis.
However, the severity of the damage may have already taken its toll by that point. The individual responsible for assaulting Kaylee has been arrested on a first-degree felony charge, though the case is currently being handled by the juvenile court system due to the perpetrator’s age.
