Travis Kelce is reportedly exploring a new venture beyond the football field, as he is said to be in discussions to step into the role of a game show host in the near future.

The Kansas City Chiefs‘ standout player is in talks with representatives from Prime Video to potentially become the face of a reboot of the classic game show “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” according to reports from Variety.

While negotiations are underway, there are uncertainties regarding Kelce’s ability to commit fully to the hosting duties while continuing his NFL career.

There’s some apprehension from the production side about whether Kelce could balance both roles effectively.

The original version of the show, which premiered in 2007 on Fox, was hosted by Jeff Foxworthy. Later iterations, including one on Nickelodeon, saw John Cena taking over hosting responsibilities.

“Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” was known for testing adults’ knowledge against material typically taught in elementary school.

The reboot on Prime Video is rumored to include celebrity contestants, adding a new twist to the classic format.

Should Kelce secure the hosting gig, it would not mark his first venture into the realm of television. He previously starred in a reality dating show titled “Catching Kelce” and made headlines as a guest host on “Saturday Night Live.”

Additionally, Kelce regularly appears on camera alongside his brother, Jason, for their popular podcast, ‘New Heights’.

Despite the ongoing negotiations, Kelce appears to be keeping his cool, currently rumored to be enjoying a vacation in the Bahamas with Taylor Swift. Amidst such distractions, focusing on business might prove challenging.
