Ned’s Declassified’ Cast Owns Up to ‘Quiet on Set’ Humor

The cast of “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” has come forward, acknowledging their misstep in making jokes about the ‘Quiet On Set’ documentary, admitting they didn’t fully grasp the gravity of the situation until now.

Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw, and Daniel Curtis Lee, who were prominent figures in the hit Nickelodeon series during its three-season stint, addressed the controversy surrounding their remarks on a podcast episode released Thursday.

Werkheiser and Lee attempted to clarify their comments to fans, explaining that they weren’t specifically targeting Drake Bell, but amidst the confusion of the moment, their words may have conveyed otherwise.

For context, the trio was participating in a TikTok Live session when they were prompted to comment on the documentary that exposed allegations of child sexual abuse within the network.

While they acknowledged the seriousness of the subject matter, Werkheiser also uttered the phrase “give me your holes” during the clip, which prompted a response from Drake Bell on social media, criticizing the trio.

The stars attribute the incident to multitasking and describe the whole situation as chaotic, but they recognize that making any jokes, especially in light of watching the documentary, was inappropriate.

Werkheiser and Lee express their newfound understanding of the gravity of the ‘Quiet On Set’ revelations, acknowledging that they would have been outraged too if they had witnessed Drake sharing his story only to see others seemingly making light of it.

It’s worth noting that while the cast expresses mortification over Drake witnessing their comments, they do not offer a direct apology, as they don’t use the phrase “I’m sorry” in the conversation as far as can be discerned.

Drake has yet to respond on social media to this acknowledgment, but the ‘Ned’s’ stars appear intent on moving past the incident.
