A Wisconsin elementary school teacher, Madison Bergmann, soon to be wed, finds herself arrested following allegations of sexual assault involving a student from River Crest Elementary School.

Bergmann, 24, now faces a charge of first-degree child sexual assault after a parent of a fifth grader notified school administrators and law enforcement.

The arrest stemmed from incriminating text messages exchanged between Bergmann and the student, uncovered by the child’s father and handed over to authorities.

Allegedly, Bergmann expressed inappropriate sentiments, indicating a liking for physical contact and even referenced ‘making out’ with the student.

The revelation has deeply unsettled both school officials and parents, prompting concerns about trust breaches within the educational community.

Details emerged during police interviews, where Bergmann disclosed that she obtained the student’s phone number through the victim’s mother, who supposedly extended an invitation to Afton Alps, a skiing resort, during winter break.

Handwritten notes found in Bergmann’s possession further intensified suspicions, although their contents remain undisclosed.

In response to the investigation, Bergmann exercised her right to legal representation, declining to comment on the text exchanges.

Subsequently, she was suspended from her teaching position, with strict directives barring any contact with Hudson School District students, parents, or staff, along with prohibitions from school premises and events.

Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, school authorities pledged support for affected students and emphasized privacy and restraint within the community, discouraging the spread of rumors or speculation. Counseling resources have been mobilized to aid individuals coping with the fallout from the allegations.

Bergmann’s background, as gleaned from social media, indicates roots in Elmo, Minnesota, and attendance at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Previous employment at Sylvan Learning as an Assistant Center Director underscores her educational background.
