A 26-year-old British tourist found himself in handcuffs following allegations of indecently assaulting an air stewardess during a Jet2 flight to Spain.
Trouble brewed in the skies as the flight from Manchester to Palma Airport unfolded. Civil Guard officers awaited the aircraft’s arrival after the pilot alerted authorities, citing disruptive behavior from the tourist, who was reportedly accompanied by a friend and had been indulging in alcohol. Disturbances ranged from bothering fellow passengers to shouting and even vaping during the flight.
Initially, the plan was to remove the unruly passenger and issue a report for violating air security protocols, possibly leading to fines.
However, the situation escalated when a British air stewardess accused the individual of inappropriate touching and making suggestive remarks. Consequently, the suspect was detained on suspicion of sexual assault.
