In the wake of Kylian Mbappé’s confirmation of his impending departure from Paris Saint-Germain, manager Luis Enrique has offered reassurance that the team will emerge stronger despite the loss of the prolific forward.
Mbappé’s announcement on Friday, May 10, marked the conclusion of his illustrious seven-year tenure with the Ligue 1 champions. Addressing reporters the following day, Enrique acknowledged the significance of Mbappé’s decision while maintaining a resolute stance regarding PSG’s future prospects.
Dispelling any sense of despondency within the club, Enrique underscored the unwavering commitment of the team, expressing confidence in their ability to thrive in the forthcoming season despite Mbappé’s absence.
“We have known this for a long time, as did everyone else. It doesn’t change the general picture. All my decisions were made based on what I considered best for the team,” Enrique affirmed.
Asserting continuity and determination, Enrique affirmed PSG’s ongoing pursuit of success, highlighting their objectives for the Coupe de France while affirming his belief in the squad’s capacity to evolve and strengthen.
“There is still the Coupe de France to go for, that’s our goal. I’m convinced that the players will be stronger next season,” he declared.
