Shaq Launches New Gummy Candy Line in Partnership with Confection Giant
Shaquille O’Neal let the sweet secret slip this week, inadvertently revealing he’s launching a new gummy candy in collaboration with a major confectionery company.
During an NBA playoffs discussion on Monday, the Hall of Famer’s hunger got the best of him, and he accidentally exposed a bag labeled “Shaq A Licious XL Gummies.”
When asked about the candy, Shaq responded, “Well, I teamed up with the biggest candy player in the world. Shaq is in the gummies business.
And guess what? You can bite my head off anytime, America!” He showcased the gummies, which come in peach, berry punch, and orange flavors and are shaped like his head.
Although O’Neal wasn’t supposed to announce the product yet, he hinted that the candy would be available “soon.” To confirm the news, sources close to Shaq verified that the candy line is indeed real and on its way.
On the basketball front, Shaq also shared his thoughts on Bronny James, LeBron’s son, who is currently participating in the NBA Draft Combine.
“I’ve been on [Bronny] ever since he was a youngster. He’s my nephew. I wish him well. You know, his father is one of the greatest players ever, so he’s probably one of the best advisors ever. And I wish him well,” Shaq said, emphasizing that they wouldn’t be swayed by critics.
Shaq also touched on recent NBA controversies, including discussions about Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and the MVP award, as well as his ongoing feud with Shannon Sharpe.
