Tammy Sytch Says She’s Suffering From ‘Severe’ Blood Clot

Tammy Sytch’s recent transfer to a state prison in Florida is off to a rough start, as the WWE Hall of Famer is grappling with a “horrible” blood clot in her leg and is outraged by the handling of her medical condition by prison officials.

The 51-year-old, sentenced to 17 years in prison in 2023 for her involvement in a fatal car crash, was relocated to Lowell Correctional Institution in Marion County earlier this year.

Shortly after the move, Sytch noticed severe swelling in her left leg, from her knee to her toes, and sought medical attention immediately.

Despite the alarming symptoms, which she described as her leg looking “like somebody put a bicycle tire pump on it and just inflated it twice the size,” Sytch claimed that prison officials dismissed her concerns for weeks.

Being diabetic, her condition worsened, with her leg turning “funky colors” and developing a “huge red lump” under the calf, making it nearly impossible for her to walk.

After persistent complaints, Sytch finally underwent testing and was diagnosed with a blood clot requiring blood thinners.

However, she reported difficulties in receiving the necessary medication and expressed concern about the quality of care she would receive in the prison.

Although she remains somewhat optimistic, Sytch warned that if her condition does not improve, she will demand treatment at an off-site hospital.

Reflecting on her plight, Sytch expressed fear of following in her ex-husband’s footsteps, who died from a blood clot, due to the inadequate medical treatment she has received in prison. “It’s pretty bad,” she shared in a recent prison interview.

Sytch, famously known as “Sunny” in the wrestling world, is scheduled for release on January 3, 2040.
