Cassie’s Lawyer Condemns Diddy’s Apology for 2016 Assault Video

Cassie’s legal team has harshly criticized Diddy’s recent apology regarding the leaked 2016 video that shows him assaulting her, accusing him of hypocrisy and misleading the public.

Meredith Firetog, one of Cassie’s attorneys, released a statement on Sunday, saying, “Combs’ most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt.

” She added, “When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday.”

This refers to Diddy’s strong denial in December following another lawsuit from a different accuser. At that time, Diddy stated, “Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday.

Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth.”

Firetog argued that Diddy’s recent apology appears insincere, stating, “That he was only compelled to ‘apologize’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.”

In his apology video, Diddy acknowledged hitting rock bottom during the time of the incident and mentioned seeking professional help through therapy and rehab.

He claimed he wasn’t making excuses for his behavior and expressed disgust with himself, both then and now.

He emphasized his commitment to becoming a better man and stated he was not asking for forgiveness but was truly sorry.

Cassie’s lawsuit against Diddy included multiple allegations beyond the 2016 assault, all of which he denied when the suit was first filed in November.

The lawsuit was settled almost immediately. Despite the 2016 incident, Diddy and Cassie continued to date for a time afterward.

Currently, Diddy is at the center of a federal investigation, which he has described as a witch hunt. As for the 2016 assault, Los Angeles authorities have stated they are not opening a case.
