Camila Cabello has no regrets about being a late bloomer, revealing she had sex for the first time at 20 and describing the experience as quite lovely.
The 28-year-old singer opened up about her first sexual experience on the ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast. She shared that this milestone happened during her relationship with author and YouTuber Matthew Hussey, whom she met during a ‘Today Show‘ taping in 2018.
Cabello explained that her year-long romance with Hussey was her first real relationship. They started dating after a dinner together, and when asked if she had been in a relationship before, she said no.
Cabello confirmed she lost her virginity to Hussey, describing the experience as “literally lovemaking.” She admitted that their relationship sometimes felt calculated due to Hussey’s profession as a relationship expert, but she ultimately praised him as a great partner who broadened her horizons.
The couple parted ways in 2019, with Hussey later marrying Audrey Le Strat in October 2023, while Cabello began dating frequent collaborator Shawn Mendes.
Cabello expressed happiness for Hussey, congratulating her ex on his marriage during the podcast. As for her romance with Mendes, Cabello and Mendes dated on and off for a couple of years before officially breaking up last summer.
Despite the ups and downs, Cabello remains optimistic, acknowledging that there are plenty of other fish in the sea.
