Courteney Cox Reveals Matthew Perry Still Visits Her in Spirit 7 Months After His Passing

Courteney Cox says her late “Friends” co-star Matthew Perry is still visiting her seven months after his untimely passing, albeit in a spiritual form.

During an appearance on ‘CBS Sunday Morning,’ Cox expressed her gratitude for having worked closely with Perry on the beloved sitcom, where her character, Monica Geller, ended up with his character, Chandler Bing. She mentioned that they remain close to this day, saying, “He visits me a lot, if we believe in that.”

Cox’s spirituality is profound; she explained that she continues to have heartfelt conversations with her late mother, father, and even Perry, who she believes guide her through her daily life.

“I do sense — I sense Matthew’s around for sure,” she shared, reflecting on his remarkable sense of humor, which she had the privilege of experiencing firsthand during their decade-long collaboration on “Friends.”

Cox was among the cast members devastated by Perry’s death. Two weeks after his passing, she posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, writing, “I am so grateful for every moment I had with you, Matty, and I miss you every day.”

This tribute followed an emotional farewell at Perry’s funeral, attended by the rest of the “Friends” cast—Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer.

Perry’s autopsy revealed he had been clean for 19 months, with his death ruled an accidental overdose due to the acute effects of ketamine.
