Kelly Rowland’s time at the Cannes Film Festival wasn’t all glitz and glamour; instead, it took a dramatic turn as she appeared visibly upset during a heated exchange on the red carpet.
The Destiny’s Child star arrived on Tuesday for the premiere of “Marcello Mio,” dazzling in a bold red dress and sporting a striking blonde bob.
Despite her celebratory look, photographers captured several tense moments as Kelly engaged in a confrontation with a security guard.
As Kelly made her way down the red carpet, the female security guard attempted to guide her into the event, but something the guard said seemed to agitate Kelly.
In response, Kelly was seen scowling and waving her finger in the guard’s face. The altercation continued briefly, with Kelly delivering a stern reprimand while the guard appeared distressed.
The exact cause of the dispute remains unclear from the photos alone, and attempts to get a comment from Kelly’s representatives have been unsuccessful so far.
This incident follows another controversial moment earlier this year when Kelly reportedly walked off the ‘Today’ show set over issues with her dressing room, abruptly leaving after the 8 AM hour and forcing Rita Ora to fill in.
Kelly later refused to address the incident during an interview on WGN News, though she did express her affection for ‘Today’ co-host Hoda Kotb, indicating the conflict wasn’t personal.
