If Ricky Stenhouse Jr and Kyle Busch want to escalate their rivalry from the pit roads to a boxing ring, Celebrity Boxing is ready to make it happen.
Damon Feldman, the head of Celebrity Boxing, announced in a video message on Monday that he is prepared to organize a boxing match between the two NASCAR stars as soon as they agree. “Come on, NASCAR,” Feldman urged, “let’s make this the biggest deal in the country!”
The idea of a boxing match between the drivers gained traction after an altercation on Sunday evening following NASCAR’s All-Star race at North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Carolina.
Stenhouse Jr. was infuriated by Busch’s actions, which caused a wreck on the second lap. After the race, Stenhouse Jr. confronted Busch in the garage area and landed a punch, sparking a brawl.
Though they were quickly separated, Feldman believes a formal boxing match would allow them to settle their differences.
It’s uncertain if Busch would participate, but Stenhouse Jr. expressed interest, especially if it involved charity. “I would do that,” he said, adding, “That would be fun.”
Feldman is enthusiastic about the potential match, seeing it as a significant event that could captivate the nation. Now, it’s up to the drivers to decide if they want to step into the ring and duke it out for a good cause.
