During a flight from London to Singapore, a Singapore Airlines aircraft encountered severe turbulence, resulting in a harrowing 6,000-foot drop.

The Boeing 777-300 jet was rattled by turbulent weather conditions, prompting it to make an emergency landing in Bangkok.

Video footage captured the aftermath, revealing scattered food and debris in the cabin. According to FlightRadar24 data, the aircraft rapidly descended from 37,000 feet to 31,000 feet within a span of just 5 minutes over the Andaman Sea, approximately 11 hours into the flight.

Passenger Dzafran Azmir recounted the terrifying experience, describing how the plane began to tilt and shake before suddenly plummeting, causing unrestrained passengers to be thrown upwards, some even hitting their heads on overhead compartments and oxygen  mask compartments with considerable force.

Emergency responders from Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital swiftly arrived at the scene to transport injured individuals from the runway to receive medical attention.

Singapore Airlines expressed its heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, whose identity has not yet been disclosed.

Adding to the recent aviation incidents, earlier this month, an airline in Senegal experienced a frightening ordeal as its aircraft caught fire, prompting passengers to scramble for safety.

Additionally, just a day prior in Istanbul, a Boeing aircraft executed a crash landing without its nose gear, resulting in a scene of horror.

This event underscores a concerning trend of Boeing-related disasters that have occurred since January, highlighting ongoing safety challenges within the aviation industry.
