Trump Fires Back After Facing Boos at Libertarian Convention

Donald Trump had a tough time handling the heat at the Libertarian Party’s convention on Saturday, becoming visibly agitated after facing a wave of boos.

Trump urged the convention attendees to nominate him as their candidate, but the crowd was not receptive and vocally expressed their objections.

Although the Libertarian Party garners only a small fraction of the vote, in a close race, even a small percentage could be decisive.

Frustrated, Trump warned the crowd, “Only nominate me if you want to win. If you want to lose, don’t do that.

” He then turned nasty, telling the members, “Keep getting your 3 percent every four years!” This remark only intensified the boos, which continued until he left the stage.

Lately, Trump has been trying to broaden his appeal beyond his usual base. Earlier this week, he campaigned in the Bronx, a borough he lost significantly in 2020, making his case as a better choice for people of color than Biden.

Meanwhile, the biggest wild card in the race is Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is rising in popularity and polling at 17%. It’s unclear which candidate his candidacy will hurt the most, but most pundits believe the bigger casualty will be Biden.
