Actor Johnny Wactor Shot And Killed During Robbery Attempt

Johnny Wactor, an actor renowned for his role in nearly 200 episodes of “General Hospital,” has tragically passed away.

Wactor was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles early Saturday morning, according to his mother, Scarlett.

She recounted that Johnny was with a coworker when they noticed three men tampering with Johnny’s car.

Although authorities have not officially released his name, this aligns with a reported incident involving three suspects attempting to steal a catalytic converter.

Scarlett mentioned that Johnny did not try to confront or stop the men, yet they shot him before fleeing the scene.

Paramedics arrived shortly after 3 AM PT, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The police have not yet provided a description of the suspects. Scarlett expressed her hope that they will be apprehended swiftly.

Johnny Wactor began his acting career in 2007 on the Lifetime hit show “Army Wives,” playing various roles.

Over the next two decades, he built a steady career with notable credits in popular series such as “Westworld,” “The OA,” “NCIS,” “Station 19,” “Criminal Minds,” and “Hollywood Girl.”

Many fans fondly remember him for his portrayal of Brando Corbin on “General Hospital,” a character married to drug addict Sasha Corbin. He played this role from 2020 until 2022 when his character was written off the show.

Scarlett remembers Johnny as a loving young man, noting that his death leaves a significant void in their family. Johnny Wactor is survived by his mother and his younger brothers, Lance and Grant. He was 37 years old.
