Kim Porter’s Father Speaks Out on Diddy-Cassie Assault Video
Jake Porter, the father of the late Kim Porter, has broken his silence about the infamous Diddy-Cassie assault video, condemning the music mogul’s “despicable” attack on his ex-girlfriend.
In a phone interview with *Rolling Stone*, Jake Porter, a Vietnam War veteran, expressed his shock and dismay, comparing Diddy’s assault to the brutality he faced in combat.
He stated, “I fought in Vietnam and would never treat my enemy the way Diddy viciously assaulted Cassie.”
Kim Porter, who dated Diddy from 1994 to 2006 and shared three children with him, passed away from pneumonia in 2018 at her Los Angeles home.
Jake Porter revealed he was unaware Diddy “could stoop that low” until he saw the 2016 surveillance footage of the Bad Boy Records executive kicking and dragging Cassie inside the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City.
“I imagine it surprised a lot of people. I wouldn’t even do a dog like that. My heart goes out to Cassie,” he said.
Despite Kim’s love for Diddy, Jake said she ultimately could not live with him due to his controlling nature.
“Diddy was a very jealous person who doesn’t know what love is,” Jake remarked. His primary concern now is the well-being of his grandchildren.
Meanwhile, Diddy faces potential indictment as federal investigators continue to probe allegations of his involvement in sex and narcotics trafficking, among other serious crimes.
