Former US president Donald Trump calls Taylor Swift ‘unusually beautiful
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has commented on pop superstar Taylor Swift, describing her as “unusually beautiful” and questioning the sincerity of her liberal political stance.
These remarks come from an interview in the upcoming book, *Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass* by Ramin Setoodeh, co-Editor-in-Chief of *Variety*. The book is set for release later this month.
In the interview, conducted in November 2023, Trump praised Swift, saying, “I think she’s beautiful—very beautiful! I find her very beautiful.”
He also acknowledged her talent: “I hear she’s very talented. I think she’s very beautiful, actually—unusually beautiful.”
Despite his compliments, Trump expressed skepticism about Swift’s political alignment. “I think she’s liberal. She probably doesn’t like Trump,” he remarked.
He also questioned whether her liberal stance is genuine or a performance: “She is liberal, or is that just an act? She’s legitimately liberal? It’s not an act?”
Swift, who was initially quiet about her political views, publicly supported Democratic candidates during the 2018 midterms, including Senate candidate Phil Bredesen and House candidate Jim Cooper.
She explained her shift in an Instagram post, stating, “In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel.
