Travis Kelce has just earned his Super Bowl ring, but he’s already vying for another accolade — the “Son of the Year” award — as the NFL star is reportedly planning to buy an Italian vineyard for his mom!
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end came up with the idea after a recent romantic getaway with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, to the picturesque Lake Como in northern Italy.
Kelce is said to be preparing to place a bid of around $3.5 million for the vineyard, with his advisors currently in negotiations with various owners and investors.
With his hefty NFL salary and numerous endorsement deals, Kelce could likely cover the cost with ease. Recently, he became the highest-paid tight end in NFL history by annual value after signing a 2-year extension worth up to $34.3 million.
This purchase would be a dream come true for Kelce’s mom, Donna, who is an avid wine enthusiast and has always wished for her own vineyard.
If the deal materializes, it would mark Kelce’s second venture into the food and beverage industry. The 34-year-old, along with teammate Patrick Mahomes, is also opening a high-end steakhouse, 1587 Prime, in Kansas City.
