Conor McGregor Denies Rehab Claims by Chael Sonnen

Conor McGregor is **not** currently in rehab for substance abuse, despite Chael Sonnen’s claims. McGregor’s representative confirmed he’s not receiving any such treatment.

Sonnen sparked the rumors on his “Good Guy/Bad Guy” podcast with Daniel Cormier, questioning McGregor’s reason for withdrawing from his fight against Michael Chandler.

Sonnen implied that McGregor, like Chandler, has significant ties to alcohol promotion and hinted at rehab for alcohol-related issues without naming McGregor explicitly.

“Ironic how both have major alcohol interests, and one is in rehab for substance abuse,” Sonnen commented, before adding, “I wasn’t supposed to say that.”

Cormier feigned ignorance, prompting Sonnen to drop further hints, including references to McGregor’s Proper No. Twelve whiskey.

Sonnen suggested McGregor’s team was hiding the true reason behind his withdrawal from the fight. However, McGregor’s rep, Karen Kessler, refuted these allegations, stating the fight was canceled due to an injury McGregor sustained in training.

“Conor is eagerly awaiting a new fight date,” Kessler said, dismissing Sonnen’s claims as baseless.

While questions about the nature and severity of McGregor’s injury persist, his recent social media activity has added to the speculation. However, his representative firmly stated that Sonnen’s assertions are unfounded.
