South African film director Nkosi Nathi has publicly shared his heartbreak on social media after a DNA test confirmed he is not the biological father of his partner’s newborn daughter.

Nkosi revealed that he was ecstatic nine months ago when he first learned he would be a father and has been devoted to the baby girl since her birth.

However, a recent minor incident prompted him to conduct a DNA test, the results of which devastatingly showed that he is not the child’s biological father.

Feeling a mix of sorrow and betrayal, Nkosi chose to share his experience publicly to shed light on the importance of paternity testing.

He hopes his story will encourage other men to verify their biological connection to their children to avoid similar heartache.

“Receiving the news that I was going to be a father was the happiest moment of my life. I have loved and cared for my daughter with all my heart since her birth,” Nkosi wrote in his heartfelt post.

“But recent events led me to take a DNA test, and the results have shattered me. I’m not her biological father.”

Nkosi added that while the revelation has left him devastated, he believes it is crucial for men to be certain of their paternity for their own peace of mind and to make informed decisions about their relationships and responsibilities.
