He didn’t appear to be under the influence or behaving unusually. He had been drinking the previous night, but those present didn’t observe anything alarming about his condition or behavior.
Despite these accounts, the police report mentions that Angus was not on any medication and was considered fit and healthy.
The medical examiner concluded that his death was due to accidental drowning. However, the report did not include a toxicology analysis, and significant portions of the documentation are heavily redacted, leaving gaps in understanding what might have contributed to his drowning.
Angus Mitchell, the heir to the John Paul Mitchell Systems hair care empire, had shared photos of himself enjoying time with friends the day before his death, appearing happy and carefree.
