Jeffrey Dahmer Victim’s Family Criticizes Ariana Grande

The family of Tony Hughes, one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims, has strongly criticized Ariana Grande for her recent remarks about the infamous serial killer.

In a recent podcast interview, Grande recounted an earlier comment she made during a fan Q&A, where she said Dahmer was her “dream dinner guest.”

Dahmer, who brutally murdered and dismembered 17 men over a 13-year span, remains a deeply painful subject for his victims’ families.

Shirley Hughes, Tony’s mother, expressed profound hurt and disbelief at Grande’s comments, finding it disturbing that the singer spoke of Dahmer with fascination and even laughed during the podcast.

Shirley stated that such remarks are not just offensive but dismissive of the real pain and trauma experienced by the families of Dahmer’s victims.

“It’s not fancy or funny to say you would have wanted to have dinner with him,” she said, emphasizing that Grande’s comments lack empathy and could be particularly damaging given her influence on young fans.

Tony’s sister, Barbara, echoed her mother’s sentiments, criticizing Grande for glamorizing a serial killer. She called for Grande to apologize, hoping it would serve as a learning moment for her fans about the gravity of such statements.

The Hughes family also voiced similar outrage when Netflix released “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” featuring Evan Peters.

Despite the show’s creators claiming extensive research and attempts to contact victims’ families, the Hughes family felt it was another instance of their suffering being exploited for entertainment.

Barbara summed up the family’s feelings, saying, “Unfortunately, until it happens to her and her family, she just doesn’t know what we have been through.”
