Sean “Diddy” Combs faces new repercussions as the Miami Beach Commission rescinds his “Sean Diddy Combs Day” proclamation following the emergence of a video showing him assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie.
Diddy had originally received the honor in October 2016 during the Revolt Music Conference from then-Mayor Philip Levine.
However, the disturbing assault, which occurred seven months prior in a Los Angeles hotel, only came to light this year with the release of the surveillance footage.
The Miami Beach Commissioners unanimously voted to revoke the day without any debate this past Wednesday, according to the Miami Herald.
Diddy, who has properties on Miami Beach’s Star Island, has been a prominent figure in the area. Despite not facing charges for the incident, he recently returned his key to New York City, adding to his mounting public consequences.
