Hunter Biden has filed a lawsuit against Fox News, accusing the network of airing explicit images of him in what he describes as an act of “revenge porn.”

The dispute centers on the Fox Nation series, *The Trial of Hunter Biden,* released in 2022. The series, hosted on the online platform of the conservative broadcaster owned by Rupert Murdoch’s family, included six episodes portraying a dramatized version of a criminal trial against Hunter Biden.

Despite the fictional nature of the series, as indicated by a disclaimer, it presented Biden being prosecuted for corruption—allegations often cited by Donald Trump’s supporters due to Hunter’s past business dealings in Ukraine and China, though these accusations have not led to legal action.

The lawsuit alleges that the series featured real explicit images of Hunter Biden, including nude photographs and images depicting him in sexual acts.

According to the complaint, “Fox published and disseminated these intimate images to its vast audience of millions as part of an entertainment program to humiliate, harass, annoy, and alarm Mr. Biden and to tarnish his reputation.”

These explicit images are believed to have originated from a laptop Hunter Biden left at a computer repair shop and never retrieved.

The laptop’s contents have been widely circulated, fueling numerous conspiracy theories and political controversies.

In response, Fox News issued a statement asserting that the lawsuit is “entirely politically motivated and devoid of merit.”

The network emphasized that Hunter Biden did not complain until April 2024, when he sent a letter demanding the removal of the program.

Fox News removed the series shortly after receiving the letter, citing an “abundance of caution.” The statement further claimed that Fox News has accurately reported on newsworthy events related to Hunter Biden and looks forward to defending its actions in court.

Hunter Biden’s legal battles extend beyond this lawsuit. In June, he was convicted of illegal possession of a firearm, a case that spotlighted his struggles with addiction.

Additionally, he faces a separate tax fraud trial in September, a proceeding likely to impact his father’s presidential campaign.
