Eguavoen names Ilechukwu, Ogunmodede assistant coaches

Interim Tremendous Eagles supervisor, Augustine Eguavoen, has chosen Fidelis Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogunmodede to help him within the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches towards Benin Republic and Rwanda.

The Director of Communications for the Nigeria Soccer Federation, Ademola Olajire, in a press release on Monday, mentioned Enugu Rangers’ head coach, Ilechukwu and Ogunmodede of Remo Stars would help Eguavoen for the 2 matches.

“Ilechukwu led the Flying Antelopes to triumph in Nigeria’s elite division final season, with Ogunmodede’s Remo Stars in second place.

“They are going to be joined in Uyo by Tomaz Zorec, a health coach from Slovenia, goalkeeper coach Olatunji Baruwa and match analyst Eboboritse Uwejamomere,” Olajire mentioned.

He mentioned that gamers and officers of the three-time African champions are anticipated in Uyo on Monday to start preparations for Saturday’s conflict with the Cheetahs on the Godswill Akpabio Stadium from 5 p.m.

Olajire mentioned the staff would depart for Kigali on Sunday for Tuesday’s Matchday 2 conflict with the Bees of Rwanda on the Amahoro Stadium, beginning at 2 pm.
