The solar was excessive when musician Son Little arrived at Anderson Park on the campus of the Aspen Concepts Competition in Colorado. Whereas in search of a shady place to seize this Area Recording, we trekked down a steep rocky path, all the best way to the sting of the close by Roaring Fork River, solely to seek out it too tight for our crew and musical visitor. And since the river was certainly roaring, we headed again to the highest of the hill to file this intimate set.

Son Little had by no means carried out a live performance in a subject earlier than, however he was fully comfy on the recent hill, ready patiently whereas we arrange the cameras and microphones. He performed a stunning four-song set that radiates vulnerability and affection, beginning with “bend yr ear” and “what’s good” (each from his newest album, Like Neptune), and completed the set with two of his greater hits, “mad about you” and “neve hand over.”
