The suspect charged with murdering 4 individuals at a Georgia highschool this week was apparently banned from Discord for violating their extremism coverage.
A rep for the favored messaging platform tells TMZ … an account believed to be linked with Colt Grey was created in early April 2023 and banned simply six weeks later for violating the platform’s anti-extremism coverage.
We’re advised “Discord’s Security crew instantly responded to legislation enforcement,” offered all needed information for his or her investigation, and eliminated the consumer from the platform.
That stated, Discord’s spokesperson says their subsequent investigation has not revealed any proof Grey used the platform to plan yesterday’s assault.
Discord’s violent extremism guidelines say the service doesn’t enable any promotion or group of violent actions … banning each members of violent extremist teams and people not related to these teams from advocating for these beliefs.
