The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned 4 people earlier than an Ekiti State Chief Justice of the Peace Courtroom, Ado Ekiti District, over the alleged theft of belongings price N1.98 million.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, knowledgeable the courtroom on Tuesday that “the suspects, on September 5 and seven at about 02:30 a.m. at No. 3, Irona Avenue, in Ado Ekiti, conspired with each other and broke into the residence of Pastor Obebe Michael.
“On the identical dates, instances, and place, the defendants stole one electrical wire and distribution board price N500,000, a mattress price N80,000, a fuel cooker with cylinder valued at N450,000, a Hiace fridge valued at N900,000, and an iron bar valued at N50,000, totalling N1,980,000—property of Pastor Obebe Michael.”
The prosecutor added that the defendants maliciously broken the roof ceiling, glass, web, and distribution field with a home wire ring, valued at N1,500,000—property of Pastor Michael.
He mentioned that “the offence dedicated by the defendants is punishable beneath sections 421, 322, 302, 354, and 345 of the Legal guidelines of Ekiti State of Nigeria, 2021.”
The defendants pleaded not responsible to the costs.
Counsel for the defendants, Opeyemi Esan, urged the courtroom to grant bail, promising that his shoppers wouldn’t abscond and would supply credible sureties.
The Chief Justice of the Peace, Adebayo Adeosun, granted the defendants bail within the sum of N200,000 with one surety every and adjourned the case till October 15 for a listening to.
