Businessman kidnapped by gunmen in his Kwara clinic

The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the kidnapping of a businessman, Emeka Nwachukwu, from his clinic in Kosubosu, the headquarters of Baruten Native Authorities Space of Kwara State, by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Wednesday night time.

Emeka was kidnapped at round 8:30 pm by gunmen who invaded his clinic on the outskirts of Kosubosu and took him to an unknown location.

PUNCH On-line gathered that the abductors contacted Emeka’s household on Thursday morning, demanding a ransom of N100 million for his launch.

It was additional reported that the sufferer’s household had been negotiating with the abductors.

Responding to reporters’ inquiries on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kwara State, Ejire-Adeyemi Toun, confirmed the incident.

Ejire-Adeyemi stated, “The Kwara State Police Command is conscious of the unlucky kidnapping incident that occurred on eleventh September 2024 at 8:30 p.m.

“It was reported that Mr Emeka C. Nwachukwu was kidnapped from his clinic on the outskirts of Kosubosu city. He was taken to an unknown location. The Police, together with native vigilantes, have intensified efforts to rescue the sufferer unhurt.”

Ejire-Adeyemi added that updates on the rescue operation will probably be communicated as progress is made.
