The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa College, Bauchi, has distanced itself from a faux social media account bearing the title of the college vice-chancellor, Sani Kunya.
This was contained in a press launch issued on Monday by the college’s Director, Directorate of Data and Public Relations, Zailani Bappa.
The assertion reads “The eye of the Appearing Vice Chancellor of the College, Professor Sani Usman Kunya, is drawn by a very good samaritan, to a faux Fb account opened in his title, clearly with the only intent to rip-off harmless individuals.
“A screenshot of a transaction with the great samaritan revealed a direct try and lure the particular person into surrendering a good-looking sum of money to facilitate a supposed contract award.
“Given this, it has grow to be essential to alert most people, particularly our stakeholders, that the Appearing Vice Chancellor won’t ever have interaction in any official transaction with anybody on social media, nor demand any monetary favour for any function in any respect.”
Zailani added that the Appearing Vice-Chancellor doesn’t have a Fb account and has instructed nobody to handle any social media account on his behalf.
