The Kano State Police Command has dismantled a 19-year-old female-led telephone theft syndicate, arresting 5 suspects linked to the operation.
Confirming the incident, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna, said that the syndicate chief, Shamsiyya Adamu, a resident of Brigade Quarters, Kano, was apprehended on December 21, 2024, following studies of stolen cellphones in Unguwa Uku Quarters.
“Within the outgone 2024, the Kano State Police Command obtained quite a few studies from residents of Kano metropolitan metropolis of a younger woman who steals cellphones from residential homes,” Haruna stated in a Thursday assertion.
