Teacher in ‘Gangbang’ Scandal Faces Divorce
The husband of the Indiana teacher accused of sexually abusing children—allegedly orchestrating a gangbang with students wearing Scream masks—is moving on with his life by filing for divorce.
Brittany Fortinberry, a 31-year-old former high school teacher, is facing multiple child sex abuse charges. Legal documents obtained by TMZ reveal that her husband, Nicholas Fortinberry, filed for divorce in February, just as the police investigation was beginning.
Nic states they were married on November 11, 2020, and lists February 21, 2025, as their official separation date. He also notes that they share a 4-year-old child, born before their marriage, and is requesting temporary custody of the child along with temporary possession of their family home.
In separate court docs, police say one of the boy’s parents told cops Brittany’s husband “knew about things” and threatened to “slaughter” one of the kids if he came forward.
According to police, the parent also claimed that Nic confronted one of the boys, telling him the situation “needed to stop until he was of age” and calling it “disgusting.”
Court documents state that police spoke with the parent on February 24, and the very next day, Brittany’s husband rushed to court to file for divorce after four years of marriage.
