During an interview with DJ Akademiks, released on Sunday, the rapper defended his social media activity, emphasizing that he now has the freedom to express himself openly on X without the fear of being banned.

West doubled down on his stance, suggesting that his post about Jay-Z’s 7-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir, was even more controversial than his past antisemitic remarks.

Akademiks responded by saying he felt the post about Jay-Z’s children was Kanye’s worst yet. However, Kanye pushed back, asking if it was truly his worst or perhaps one of his “best or strongest” posts, leading to an awkward exchange.

Earlier this month, Kanye had questioned whether anyone had seen Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s younger children, implying doubts about their mental capacity.

The post sparked widespread outrage, with Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, seemingly responding in an Instagram video where she called out “ignorance and evil.”

Despite the backlash, Kanye appears unwilling to retract his words, even as he continues to make inflammatory statements online. His comments come despite his once-close relationship with Jay-Z, whom he previously regarded as a mentor and collaborator.
