Nigerian Navy Arrests Three Suspected Drug Peddlers in Akwa Ibom
The Nigerian Navy has arrested three individuals suspected of drug peddling in Akwa Ibom State.
According to an official statement, the suspects were apprehended by personnel from the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Ibaka on Saturday, March 29, 2025, while in possession of a large quantity of Indian hemp in Ibaka, Mbo Local Government Area.
The Navy confirmed that the suspects have been taken into custody and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
This latest operation highlights the Navy’s continued efforts to combat illegal activities along Nigeria’s coastal communities and waterways.
