Virginia Giuffre Clarifies Instagram Post After Car Crash, Remains in Serious Condition
Virginia Giuffre, known for her accusations against Prince Andrew, has clarified a recent alarming Instagram post where she mistakenly claimed she had just four days to live following a car crash.
The 41-year-old sparked concern when she shared a photo of herself “battered and bruised,” stating she was dying after being struck by a school bus. Initially, she claimed a speeding vehicle had crashed into her car and that doctors had given her a grim prognosis.
In a statement released today, Giuffre expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and provided details on the accident that left her hospitalized with “kidney failure” and other injuries.
According to the statement, the incident occurred on March 24 in rural Western Australia. A school bus collided with the car she was in, but when authorities were contacted, police reportedly said no officers were available to respond.
The bus driver, with a vehicle full of distressed children, left the scene to transport them safely and later filed a police report.
Giuffre initially returned home with bruises but was later admitted to the hospital as her condition worsened. She is currently receiving treatment at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth.
Regarding her Instagram post, Giuffre clarified that she had intended to share it privately on Facebook and had not meant to alarm the public.
Her name remains linked to the Jeffrey Epstein case, with court documents revealing that she previously claimed to have been paid $15,000 for an alleged encounter with Prince Andrew, a claim he has consistently denied.
In 2022, the Duke of York reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre to avoid a public trial over allegations that he sexually abused her when she was 17 as part of Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s trafficking network.
Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
