Duke Gadd Died from Fentanyl, Cocaine Overdose; Hypertension a Factor
Duke Gadd’s Cause of Death Confirmed as Fentanyl, Cocaine Overdose
The official cause of death for drummer Duke Gadd has been confirmed as an overdose of fentanyl and cocaine, according to a spokesperson for Clark County, Nevada. His death was also complicated by underlying high blood pressure.

Gadd’s passing was initially announced by actor and musician Corey Feldman, who shared a video of Duke drumming and stated that he had died from a fentanyl overdose in Las Vegas.

However, this claim was met with backlash from Gadd’s family. His mother, Carol Gadd, criticized Feldman for speaking prematurely, sarcastically referring to him as “Dr. Corey” and clarifying that they had not yet received an official determination from the coroner.
At the time, Carol mentioned that the family had been told Duke suffered a heart attack and that drugs were possibly involved, but fentanyl had not been specifically confirmed. Following the pushback, Feldman deleted his social media post about Gadd’s passing.
Duke Gadd, the son of legendary drummer Steve Gadd, was 41 years old.
