Man Allegedly Kills Daughter, Buries Her in Shallow Grave in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Kamoru Ojo for allegedly murdering his 27-year-old daughter, Shakirat Ojo, and burying her in a shallow grave within the premises of their home in the Afromedia area of Ojo, Lagos.
According to police sources who spoke to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the tragic incident took place on March 26, 2025, but was not reported until April 3.
A distress call alerted officers at the Okokomaiko Police Division around 8:00 a.m., prompting an immediate response.
Investigations revealed that Kamoru allegedly beat his daughter to death at their residence located at No. 31 Oshinlemo Street, Afromedia.
In an apparent attempt to cover up the crime, he is said to have buried her body within the compound.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators were deployed to the location, where the area was documented and the victim’s body exhumed. It has since been transferred to a public morgue for autopsy.
Kamoru Ojo has been taken into custody as police continue their investigation to determine the full details and motive behind the gruesome act.
