Kourtney Kardashian Recalls “Controlling” Caitlyn in Childhood

Kourtney Kardashian recently opened up about her difficult childhood experiences with former step-parent Caitlyn Jenner, offering rare insight into their strained relationship.

During an emotional appearance on her sister Khloe Kardashian’s podcast Khloe in Wonder Land, the 46-year-old reality star described Caitlyn’s parenting style as “controlling” and “bossy.”

Kourtney, the eldest daughter of Kris Jenner and the late Robert Kardashian, recalled frequent “yelling wars” in their home and feeling stifled by Caitlyn’s strict rules—including being banned from bringing certain friends over.

“I would be like, ‘I wanna call my Dad,’ and Caitlyn would hang up the phone,” Kourtney shared, revealing the depth of the tension. Eventually, she moved in with her biological father before his death in 2003.

While Khloe commended Caitlyn for not trying to replace their father, Kourtney expressed a different view, describing her experience as more of a “power struggle.”

Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce Jenner, was married to Kris Jenner from 1991 to 2015. The pair share two daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
