Billy Joel Cancels All Concerts Due to Brain Disorder

Billy Joel has revealed he’s been diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, a brain disorder caused by excess fluid buildup in the brain’s cavities.
Due to this condition, he is canceling all his scheduled concerts to focus on recovery.

Billy shared that recent performances have worsened his symptoms, causing difficulties with hearing, vision, and balance.
Following his doctors’ advice, he is undergoing physical therapy and has been told to pause performing until he improves.
There’s no set date for his return to the stage, but Billy expressed regret for disappointing his fans and thanked them for their understanding.
His concerts scheduled through July 3, 2026, have been canceled, and ticket refunds will be issued.
A source close to Billy said that while he is following medical recommendations and is improving, returning to work right now isn’t advised. He recently underwent surgery and is currently relaxing on a boat in Florida with his wife.
Importantly, Billy is not retiring and hopes to resume performing when his health allows.
