Kim Kardashian Speaks on Paris Robbery Verdicts

Nearly ten years after Kim Kardashian was violently robbed at gunpoint in Paris, eight individuals have been found guilty in connection with the high-profile heist — yet none will be returning to prison.
The 2016 robbery, which occurred during Paris Fashion Week, saw Kardashian tied up, gagged, and locked in a bathroom while thieves made off with more than $9 million worth of jewelry, including her $4 million engagement ring.
According to Daily Mail, the convicted group — nicknamed the “Grandpa Robbers” by French media due to most being in their 60s and 70s — received sentences ranging from three to eight years.
However, all of them avoided additional jail time because of age and health concerns.
Several are battling serious medical issues, including cancer and Parkinson’s disease, and one required written court transcripts due to hearing loss.
Only two of the ten defendants on trial admitted guilt.
Aomar Aït Khedache, 69, believed to be the mastermind, was handed an eight-year sentence, but because of time already served and a suspended term, he won’t be incarcerated further.
Kardashian, who did not attend the hearing, called the robbery “the most terrifying experience of my life.”
Since then, she has significantly heightened her personal security and changed how she uses social media — avoiding real-time posts that might reveal her location.
Reflecting on the verdict, Kim said:
“While I’ll never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability.”
