Trump Pardons Todd and Julie Chrisley

The process to finalize the presidential pardon for Todd and Julie Chrisley could take several days, and the couple might be temporarily placed in a halfway house before gaining full freedom.
Their attorney, Alex Little of Litson PLLC, issued a statement following the announcement, saying, “President Trump recognized what we’ve argued from the beginning: Todd and Julie were targeted because of their conservative values and public visibility. Their prosecution was marred by constitutional violations and political bias.”
The former president issued full pardons for the “Chrisley Knows Best” stars, who had been serving time in federal prison following their 2022 convictions for tax evasion and bank fraud. Todd was sentenced to 12 years, while Julie received 7 years.

Their appeals for reduced sentences were previously denied.
Trump reportedly called their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, personally to deliver the news.
Savannah has been vocal about her parents’ case, especially during her appearance at the Republican National Convention, where she criticized the prosecution and claimed political motives were behind the charges.
She alleged the judge referred to her family as “the Trumps of the South.”
The Chrisleys were originally indicted in 2019 during Trump’s first term in office. With this latest move, Trump continues to show support for high-profile conservative figures and reality TV personalities.
