Enugu Native Doctor Claims Kidnap Allegations Are Political Setup Over Kingship

Obieze Denies Ritual Killing Allegations, Claims He Was Framed Over Village Kingship Dispute
Obi Levi Obieze, also known as Ezeani, the Enugu native doctor at the center of shocking allegations involving kidnapping and ritual killings, has denied all accusations, claiming he was framed due to a power struggle in his village.
Obieze was arrested while attempting to flee Nigeria on a motorcycle through a land border, following reports that multiple human remains were discovered in a soakaway pit on his compound.
However, during interrogation by immigration officials, Obieze insisted he was innocent and the victim of a politically motivated setup by his fellow villagers.
“This is political. It’s all fabricated,” Obieze said. “Because I’m next in line to be king, some people in my village don’t want me to ascend the throne.
They’re trying to destroy my name with false accusations and planted evidence.”
Despite videos circulating online showing him performing traditional rituals, Obieze denied being a native doctor.
“I’m not a native doctor,” he claimed, identifying instead as a businessman who deals in okirika (second-hand clothing).
He further accused the President General of his village of orchestrating the plot against him.
“They planted those things in my compound to implicate me. Someone working with them put a dead body in my soakaway just to make me fall.”
Obieze remained defiant, saying, “An innocent man fears no accusation. The God of vengeance will fight for me.”
The case has generated widespread public attention and outrage, with authorities vowing to fully investigate the disturbing discoveries linked to the suspect’s residence.
