Immigration Transfers Arrested Enugu Native Doctor to Police

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has handed over a suspected native doctor, Obieze, to the police following his arrest in connection with kidnapping and alleged ritual killings in Isiagu Community, Enugu State.
According to a statement released on Thursday by the Service Public Relations Officer, ACI AS Akinlabi, on behalf of the Comptroller General of the NIS, Kemi Nandap, the arrest was based on credible intelligence.

The statement described Obieze as a male suspect wanted by the Enugu State Police Command for his alleged role in abduction, kidnapping, and ritual murder.
Obieze, a native of Umuajor village in Enugu, was reportedly involved in the abduction of a 13-year-old girl on May 27, 2025.

The girl was kidnapped while walking to the farm with her father and was later found and rescued from a shrine allegedly connected to the suspect.
Immigration officials confirmed Obieze’s identity through a National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) enrolment slip discovered in his possession.
His arrest marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation, as authorities continue to pursue justice for the victim and her family.
