Kizz Daniel Drops New EP ‘Lemon Chase’

Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has returned with a powerful new EP titled “Lemon Chase,” a seven-track project that serves not only as a prelude to his upcoming album “Uncle K” but also as an emotionally rich body of work.
The EP explores themes of love, loss, healing, peace, and celebration, painting a vivid picture of life’s highs and lows.
From the opening track “Black Girl Magic” to the closing number “Police” — featuring Johnny Drille and five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo — Kizz Daniel delivers a deeply personal musical journey. Each track captures a unique emotional tone, woven together by his signature sound and heartfelt lyricism.
“Lemon Chase” boasts a star-studded lineup of collaborators, each bringing their own flavor to the project. Afrobeats heavyweights Bella Shmurda, Odumodu Blvck, and Zlatan inject raw street energy, while Fola — who previously teamed up with Kizz Daniel on “Lost” — returns to add emotional depth.

The standout collaboration with Johnny Drille and Angelique Kidjo brings a rich blend of soul, culture, and global appeal.
Production credits feature some of Kizz Daniel’s most trusted hitmakers. Reward Beatz, Blaise Beatz, Magic Sticks, Bando, and Ayzed craft lush, diverse soundscapes that elevate the EP. Highlights include:
- “Eyo” and “Black Girl Magic” produced by Reward Beatz, Bando, and Blaise Beatz
- “Secure” and “Peace I Chose” by Blaise Beatz
- “Titi” handled by Magic Sticks, co-produced by Reward Beatz and Blaise Beatz
- “Al Jannah” by Ayzed
In his own words, Kizz Daniel describes the EP as a reflection of life’s dualities:
“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it. I wanted this project to feel like real life—sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful. This is music for your heart—whether you’re healing, hoping, or remembering. I just wanted it to be honest, authentic, and true to self.”
With “Lemon Chase”, Kizz Daniel cements his place as more than just a chart-topper — he’s a storyteller who’s unafraid to be vulnerable.
The EP sets the tone for what’s to come with “Uncle K”, and reinforces why Kizz Daniel remains one of Afrobeats’ most compelling voices.
