Zion Williamson Faces Rape Allegation in Civil Lawsuit

New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson, 24, has been accused of rape in a civil lawsuit filed in Los Angeles.
The complaint alleges two separate incidents in Beverly Hills during 2020, with claims of sexual, physical, emotional, and financial abuse.
The accuser is seeking damages related to assault, sexual battery, domestic violence, burglary, stalking, and false imprisonment.
While Williamson faces no criminal charges, his legal team has strongly denied the allegations, calling them “categorically false and reckless.”
His attorneys, from the Barrasso-Usdin-Kupperman-Freeman & Sarver law firm, stated they will pursue significant damages for defamation, suggesting the lawsuit is financially motivated.
They also revealed that Williamson had reported the accuser to law enforcement over alleged extortion attempts.
The accuser’s lawyer, Sam Taylor II of the Lanier Law Firm, described the case as “very serious” with detailed allegations. The New Orleans Pelicans have yet to issue a public response.
