AI Misuse Sparks Outrage After Men Ask ‘Grok’ to Undress Woman in Photo

There is growing outrage on X (formerly Twitter) after several Nigerian men — including individuals identified as professionals — were caught using Grok, the AI assistant integrated into the platform, to sexualize a woman who had innocently shared her photo online.
The incident began when the woman, noted for her curvy physique, posted an image of herself.
In a disturbing twist, one male user prompted Grok to “make her turn around” in a bid to view her from behind. Shockingly, the AI complied, generating a manipulated image showing her from that angle.
Emboldened by the response, other male users began issuing increasingly inappropriate commands to Grok.
One instructed the AI to “remove her shorts,” another demanded it to “undress her,” and a third requested it to “make her kneel while packing her hair backwards.”
The blatant objectification of the woman using AI has sparked a wider conversation about the ethical use of technology and the disturbing trend of using AI to further misogyny and sexual exploitation.
Critics expressed disgust that tools designed for innovation and assistance are being misused to violate women’s dignity and privacy.
The backlash has intensified, with some users threatening to report one of the men involved to his employer, highlighting the growing call for real-world consequences for digital misconduct.
The incident has reignited concerns around AI misuse, consent, and the need for stricter controls to prevent the technology from enabling harassment and exploitation.
